Camp Description:
Started in 1956, Merrick Woods has been serving the Long Island community for over 44 years. Nestled on a 6 acre wooded campus, with an additional 12 acres of athletic fields, the camp provides a wide range of activities for children ages 2-15. There is Red Cross Certified Swimming Instruction in 3 heated pools, all sports, 14 separate arts & crafts shops, music, dance, gymnastics, rock climbing, high & low ropes elements, special events, professional entertainment, Olympics, Carnival, shows, and much more. The most important ingredient to this well-run program is the exceptional staff. Many are former campers who have grown up at Merrick Woods, and many are parents who's children have and still are growing up at Merrick Woods. There is a Teen Travel Program for campers entering grades 7-10, and a Tween Travel Program for campers entering grades 5 & 6. Part week programs are available for 3 and 4 year olds. Please call for more information and a free brochure.
