Camp Description:
Camp Ahmek is located on the mainland shore of Canoe Lake in Algonquin Park. Whether you're a first timer or an experienced camper, you'll feel comfortable as soon as you arrive.Throughout your stay here, you'll find the fun of living with other people your age. Camp encourages a sense of independence that can only happen away from home. And we think it happens best in a great place like Camp Ahmek, where the fun never seems to stop. And those other people your age are going to become some of the best friends you will ever have. You will go through incredible, experiences together - especially the adventure of your canoe trips - and those kinds of shared experiences will help you to bond together very closely. Living at Camp Ahmek will also bring nature up very close. Here you'll fall asleep to the call of a loon. The sight of a moose with huge antlers or a chance encounter with a deer will live on in your memory - even when you say goodbye to your new camp friends and head home for that busier, rest-of-the-year life.
