Camp Description:
Camp Ginger Cascades is place where girls and staff come to share experiences, learn more about themselves, develop skills, and explore the outdoors together. Girl Scouts and non-Girl Scouts enjoy the scenic Brushy Mountains, sliding down Ginger Creek, paddling a canoe on the lake, and swimming in the pool.Camp Ginger Cascades boasts traditional and innovative sessions. Specialized events like CSI, High School Musical, How'd You do that, Babysitter's Club, and Pet Lovers allow girls to focus an particular interests. Repeated favorites like Sleep With The Sharks and High Adventure are updated annually to offer new challenges. Our on-site multi-face climbing facility and low ropes challenge course build strong girls through teamwork and self-reliance activities. All units are handicapped accessible--as a result, Camp Ginger Cascades has received awards from Easter Seals and the State of North Carolina for providing excellent camping opportunities to girls with disabilities.
