Camp Description:
In addition to summer camp programs for teens [grades 7-12], juniors [grades 4-6] and primaries [grades 1-3], Camp Assurance also provides specialty retreats and one-day programs throughout the year. These include programs for Teen Leadership, Men, Women, Pastors, Youth Pastors/Leaders, Deacons, Father/Son, Senior Saints, and Widows. Camp Assurance is available for churches of like precious faith to rent for their own retreats, camps, or one-day activities. Call Scott Randolph, Camp Director for prices and availability. As a small camp of 100 or less we provide a safe, Holy Spirit controlled atmosphere in which children can sense the love of Christ. Each child receives personal spiritual attention from their Christian College counselor. Two Chapels, a Bible Class, and a "God&I Time" session daily gets the camper into God's Word. Camp Assurance uses a competition based format centering on a historical event for summer programs. Teams compete in non-traditional, wacky [and occasionally wet] games daily enhancing the fun for campers. Afternoon cabin group activities include those listed above and horseback riding, our new "Get Zippy" cable ride, trips to the Craft Shop and Snack Shop, and counselor-led fun times which use the outdoors and/or group initiatives as teaching aids. The use of historical events (the California Gold Rush, War of the Roses, The Olympics, etc.) provides a platform for skits, awards, and other special program features to create uniquely rich memories for campers. The Lord Jesus Christ is the main focus of Camp Assurance. We want each camper to know Jesus Christ as Saviour and to understand how to grow more like Christ each day. Our Mission Statement: Camp Assurance serves Independent Fundamental Baptist Churches assisting them to fulfill the Great Commission by providing camp, retreat, and conference programs that God can use to get people (especially children) saved, spiritually growing, and serving the Lord.
