Camp Description:
Long Lake's Outdoor Explorers Summer Camps focus on ecology, conservation, and wilderness skills, as well as recreational activities such as canoeing, orienteering, swimming and archery. The 6-day sessions for ages 10-13 are based on Long Lake's 760 acres of upland forest, bog, and lake, and include studies of lake-bottom organisms, unique bog plants, and woodland wildlife. Also available are Forkhorn I, II & III camps. Long Lake is located in north-central Minnesota, 2.5 hours from Minneapolis/St. Paul.
