Camp Description:
Our proven, fun and highly effective approach to sport-specific training, allows our participants to benefit from receiving professional instruction from an organization who has worked with over 10,000 athletes in over 14 different sports, youth through professional.Whether you are highly gifted athlete or posses' average athletic ability, attending an APC camp, will enhance your speed, first step-quickness, strength and knowledge of how to apply our training techniques to your specific sport. All athletes are pre-tested in the 10 and 40 yard dash the first day of camp and post tested the last day, last year over 95% of our campers improved their times in 3 days!
Our well-received classroom sessions include interactive discussions presented by our guest speakers, on the subject of nutrition, mental preparation, and college recruiting. Furthermore, at the conclusion of the APC, all participants are presented with a 12-week take home program, which is specific to your individual and sport-specific needs.
The APC Camp is offered to both male and female, grades 7-12. The camp caters to athletes who play all sports. Athletes have the option to stay overnight or commute to the Duane Carlisle's APC Camp. The staff lives on campus and provides 24 hours of supervision for all campers. A full-time athletic trainer is on duty 24 hours a day.
Last year, 60 % of our campers boarded at the Lawrenceville School, traveling from as far away as Pittsburgh, PA. Campers are required to bring sport -specific implements (ie gloves, tennis rackets…) for our sport-specific break out sessions. The camper to staff ratio is 1:6. Three meals a day are provided for boarders and lunch only is provided for commuters.
