Camp Description:
The Fowler Center is dedicated to offering all people, especially those with developmental disabilities and other special needs, a program that fits their needs. Our emphasis is on the out of doors, education on the protection on the environment, personal growth, and just plain having a great time. It is the goal that each camper has an enjoyable, stimulating, supportive away-from-home experience at The Fowler Center. It is Fun with a capital F.The Folwer Center offers all of the activities traditional to any summer camp. We offer swimming and non-motorized boating in Harmon Lake, horseback riding, challenge initiatives, sports, outdoor education, crafts, and much more! Programs include Camp Fowler, a 9 week residential summer camp and a day camp which runs through the month of July. Spring Sessions, monthly weekend respite camps, Camp Barefoot for adults with traumatic brain injuries, Winter camp, and Group event are also offered. We also offer two weeks of equestrian camp for girls aged 10-16 without disabilities. This program is called the Mah Meh Weh Horse Ranch. Mah Meh Weh campers have the opportunity to interact with and assist youth with disabilities as well as having fun learning to ride or developing their riding skills.
