Camp Description:
Shepherd's Spring is a summer camp and year-round retreat center owned and operated by the Mid-Atlantic District Church of the Brethren. The center is located on 220 primarily wooded acres along the scenic Potomac River in Central Maryland. It is affiliated with the American Camping Association, Christian Camping International and the International Association of Conference Center Administrators.

The summer leadership is trained and committed to the personal growth, health and safety of campers under their care. Campers work in small "family" groups. These groups experience the week's activities as they live together in Christian community. The program is designed to help children grow in faith, self esteem, confidence, and identity.

A variety of camping sessions are offered for different age groups from the end of June through the middle of August. These session run from the traditional residental camping experience which include hiking, swimming, nature study, Bible study, recreation, a cooperation course, and arts and crafts to travel camps centered around a special activity such as backpacking, outdoor living skills, caving, climbing and rappelling, and rafting.
