Camp Description:
Situated on a private lake surrounded by 700 acres of forest, the King Day Camp offers a variety of programs targeted for children 4-16 years of age. The camp runs one week sessions starting the first week of July and ending the third week of August. Programs include some of the following: our Adventure F.I.E.L.D. program, which offers Arts & Crafts, Swimming, Voyageur Canoe rides, and Outdoor Experiences to campers who are 4-7 years of age. Our Badger Adventures program which offers an OVERNIGHT on the Thursday of each week, as well as the opportunity to do many skills such as archery, tree climbing, orienteering and rock climbing. Our Senior Adventure program for campers age 10-14, offers two different programs; an option based session where campers can chose two activities for each week and a Discovery Program which highlights Camping Skills and High-ropes Elements. For campers aged 12-14 we offer a Mountain Bike Specialty program and a Climbing Specialty program. For those who are 14 years of age we also offer weekly adventures in our Voyageur programs. For 15-16 year olds we offer a Leader-in-Training Program which emphasizes leadership development and team building skills over a 3 week session and a Staff-In-Training program which involves further leadership and skill devolpment.
