Camp Description:
Camp St. Charles is a general recreational camp located on the water in So. Maryland. Our property is in a very rural area and on a peninsula - allowing for full views of the sunrise and the sunset. During clear nights we have a fantastic view of the Milkly Way, the Big Dipper, and numerous planets. We are sponsored by the Society of the Divine Savior (the Salvatorians), a Roman Catholic Society and have been in continuous operation since 1952. There is no discrimination in accepting campers or staff for any reasons of race, color, creed, sex,or national origin. We are active members in the American Camp Assoication -Chesapeake Section and we have both American and International staff members and campers. Our two main goals are :1) to foster and appreciation of God's Creation through the many outdoor activities we offer and, 2) to foster a genuine respect for all people through the example set by our staff and through experiences the campers have with their teammates and those in their cabins. We offer a very wide range of activities and have always tried to maintain a reasonable tuition rate. We have "camperships" available. From March through May and from September to mid-November we rent out the camp for retreat, leadership training, and other groups.
