Camp Description:
Hartwick College Summer Music Festival & Institute is a music camp for students ages 8-22. We offer 1, 2, 4 and 6 weeks sessions beginning June 29 until August 11, 2002. New this year is our One Week Program. This program will focus on beginning music students. They will have the opportunity to take music classes, perform in large and small ensembles and participate in organized recreation time. The evening activities will consist of concerts and fun activities. Our 2, 4, and 6 week program offers a musical experience for beginning to advanced levels. Each student will design their own schedule which will include music classes, small and large ensembles, music theater and recreation activities. We offer over 30 music classes and over 25 large ensembles to choose from. Students stay in college dorm rooms with two students per room, and 20-25 students per floor. Students are supervised by counselors ages 18-27 and are taught by professional musicians and college professors.
