Camp Description:
RanchoAmericas Riding Camp For Girls(10-18)offers a unique and diverse equestrain experience for serious young riders with ambition to excel in English or Western disciplines such as jumping, dressage, reining, or driving, all in the beautiful wilderness mountains of northern British Columbia. Horse-related activities take up the entire day, from sunrise to sunset, including daily lessons in the large indoor arena or in the three outdoor rings, trail rides, and trips to local shows and competitions. Every camper gets several horses to work with and everyone helps in the training of young colts and also doing the stable chores both morning and night. When we go to the lake below the ranch, we go on horseback and when we watch videos in the evenings, they're about horses. So, RanchoAmericas is definitely a total immersion experience for dedicated young people who love horses and want to further develop their equestrian skills and knowledge. Many of our alumni have pursued careers in the horse world, as veterinarians, trainers, competitors, horse ranch owner/operators, and instructors. RanchoAmericas builds the foundation to do so. All girls must have two or more years of riding experience, preferably with a qualified coach or local Pony Club. No beginners or week-end trail riders.
