Camp Description:
MaWaVa is a non-denominational Christian Camp. We offer a large variety of daily activities to meet the needs of each camper. We offer an option of special skill classes which take the place of two classes some of which are candle making, archery, riflery, rocketry, outdoor cooking / camping skills, and clay creations.We have a wonderful staff of Christian Men and Women 18 and older. We are an ACA accredited camp and also conduct bi-yearly an in-house certification program through Camp Cherith. Our boys & girls programs are run parallel to each other so there are separate programs and activity classes for each with only meal times a shared period.
3 weeks of camp this year. 1st week is for female campers and 2nd and 3rd weeks are parallel programs. We offer a weekend stayover option also for all campers staying with us for more than one week. Our weeks of camp run from Sunday afternoon until Saturday morning.
Small camper to staff ratios. Very safe environment. Our theme this year is "Rock Solid" with Psalm 62:2 as our key verse..."He alone is my rock and my salvation, He is my fortress, I will never be shaken". (NIV) Our camp is located in the beautiful mountains of Madison, VA and has scenic views, beautiful trails, an inviting lakefront and safe cabin and activity areas. We do not provide an exact location of our camp site until campers are registered as another level of safety.
