Camp Description:
Camp Ellowi is the Lone Star Council's camp in Cedar Hill, Texas. Located in southwest Dallas County, the 65 acre camp contains cabins, platform tents, a main lodge, unit lodges, swimming pool, bath house, restrooms, outside assembly areas, playing field, challenge course, archery range, basketball court, and sand volleyball court.Free program for low-income youth involved in Camp Fire USA's Kids Club program OPEN CAMPING
Camp Ellowi is available various weekends throughout the year for OPEN CAMPING. Open Camping is for all registered Camp Fire clubs, with their trained leaders, camping as a group, planning their own program and providing their own meals. Reservations are made by filling out the Program Event Registration form and mailing it with the full fee two weeks prior to the date desired. Camping fee is $2.50 per person per night.
Camp Ellowi is also available to rent for open camping to family or reunions, schools, clubs, churches or other organizations on any Open Camping dates throughout the year. Check out the Lone Star calendar for dates.

ELLOWI DAY CAMP A day camp program at Camp Ellowi in Cedar Hill that is offered in weekly sessions Monday through Friday during the summer. Activities include swimming lessons, recreational swimming, archery, sports and games, crafts, etc. Open to all boys and girls ages 6-15, including program and non-program members of Camp Fire. CHI OMEGA DAY CAMPS Week long day camp experiences for economically disadvantaged children at Camp Ellowi. Camping activities are directed by trained adult volunteers and teenage aides from the Lone Star Council of Camp Fire and a number of neighborhood children's centers. Various foundations, corporations and civic groups fund these camps.
