Camp Description:
Camp Ozanam, established in 1923, is a residential summer camp for boys ages 8-12. Its motto is "Accept, Share, Develop". The camp provides an opportunity for children to enjoy summer activities in an outdoor setting where Catholic/Christian values are encouraged through all aspects of camp life.Owned and operated by the Society of St. Vincent de Paul for 80 years, Camp Ozanam offers safe and fun-filled outdoor experiences for boys who wouldn't otherwise have an opportunity to attend summer camp. We want every boy to have fun and enjoy his camping experience. We want to provide opportunities for growth and development in the following areas: -To understand and appreciate personal identity and uniqueness of self and others through a multi-cultural camping experience. -To recognize each person's role in a group and to adjust and become secure in social living. -To develop skills and self-confidence by discovering new interests and activities. -To promote and stimulate the spiritual and/or religious well being of each child through Catholic and non-denominational religious activities. -To hear and understand the message of Jesus Christ and how that message is incorporated in the lives of people.
