Camp Description:
Children ages 6-12 can spend summer vacation in a structured Metro Parks day camp that provides safe, fun and educational enrichment opportunities. The camps offered June 16 to August 1 at 25 Metro Parks community centers and outreach sites allow children to experience sports, arts and the great outdoors in a wholesome environment.Registration takes place from April 14 to June 6 on a first-come, first-served basis at the camp location of your choice. Full non-refundable payment, by check or money order, is due at registration. Camp fees range from $20 to $75 weekly, depending on the activities offered at each site. Additional fees are added for field trip admission and transportation, and campers may need to bring their own lunches. Metro Parks reserves the right to cancel camps for any reason, in which case full refunds will be offered.
Our high-quality, affordable camps are a great choice for parents who are seeking structured activities for their children during the summer school break, said Mayor Jerry Abramson. Each summer, the Metro Parks camp program provides enriching activities and supervision for thousands of our communitys children.
Camps begin at 8:30 a.m. and end at 6:00 p.m. An early bird program, allowing drop-off between 7 and 8:30 a.m., is available for an extra $2 per day at some locations. Tuition waivers which cover camp tuition, but do not cover field trips and other fees are available at some locations to those who can demonstrate financial need. Additionally, discounts are available for multiple camp participants from the same family. Residents from outside Jefferson County can attend Metro Parks camps for an additional $10 per child.
