Camp Description:
Located on a magnificent 64-acre property, Camp Veritans operates six separate programs. Each is designed to meet the needs of children in specific age groups, and offers counselors and specialists the opportunity to concentrate on children within a defined age range. From entering kindergarten through tenth grade, our campers have the opportunity to participate in a wide range of enjoyable, stimulating, and age appropriate activities.A staff of over a hundred counselors and specialists come together each summer. All camp staff participate in a comprehensive training program prior to the start of camp, as well as weekly in-service training. Over the years, Camp Veritans has earned a reputation as a quality day camp in the community. The majority of our campers are returning veterans, many of which will go on to serve as counselors. The camp attracts children and staff from Passaic, Bergen, Essex, and Morris counties. Camp Veritans is licensed by the state of New Jersey and is part of the Jewish Community Center Association movement.
