Camp Description:
Shady Oaks camp was founded in 1947 by The Parents Association for Children with Cerebral Palsy. S.O.C. is a not for profit 501c3 organization which relies heavily on the support of its parents to raise operating costs. Shady Oaks serves both adults and children with disabilities. We provide a 1:1 ratio which ensures each camper will have individualized care. Programs are geared toward all ages and include swimming, field trips, arts and crafts and various on ground entertainment (i.e. bands, magicians, etc.). Another unique feature of Shady Oaks is that most of its staff come from overseas wghich provides yet another dimension to its activities.
