Camp Description:
Our New Mission Statement tells folks that we "... offer All ways of encountering life, love and the God of Grace."Our Old, longer, Mission Statement Says a lot also: "From creek stomping to star gazing, from rocking chairs to water skiing, Lakeshore offers 1,100 acres of woods, streams, and lakes; a quiet place that shouts the good news that all of us, young or old, are children of God. To compliment and support the ministry of the United Methodist Church, other denominations and faiths, schools and other non-profit groups, Lakeshore provides varied year-round programming whether in comfortable cabins or wilderness tents. Some come to rest, to have fun, to grow in their appreciation of the environment, to study and reflect, or, through experiential learning, to find God and each one's place in God's world. Our purpose is that all might know that they have been in the presence of God." Lakeshore offers Forty (40) unique camp opportunities over an 9 week summer program and looks forward to hosting groups of any size from 15 to 200 through out the remainder of the year. Our guests consider Lakeshore to be sacred ground, a holy place, where God becomes real and touches the heart and changes the lives of 100's of persons each year. See you at camp.
