Camp Description:
Camp Sharing Meadows is a camp for other-abled (handicapped) adults in Rolling Prairie, Indiana. We are located between South Bend and Michigan City, Indiana - only 1 hour from Chicago. Held for 6 weeks each summer, camp is a retreat that provides recreation, fellowship, and learning in a non-judgmental atmosphere in which the values of independence, self-esteem, spiritual growth and socialization are stressed. Camp starts Sunday afternoon at 4:00 p.m. and concludes Friday afternoonat 1:00 p.m. We have a large camp building on our Sharing Meadows property, which is a community for other abled people on 185 acres of land. In our vision of this community we wish to invite other abled people from around the area to come and share, making it a community for all. Camp is one of the many ways we help to fulfill this vision. The weekends may include some or all of the following: hayrides, campfires, dances, picnics, fishing, boating, celebrations with God, movies, teaching/discussion sessions, crafts and much more!
