Camp Description:
Wilderness Adventure at Eagle Landing has been changing outlooks and developing leaders since 1990. We are not a traditional summer camp; we are an all-outdoor, ACA Accredited, Adventure Program.

Enjoy some of our most popular adventure activities in a Caribbean setting! Course leaders and participants will rendezvous in San Juan, Puerto Rico where the trip begins with a leisurely visit through historic Old San Juan. Your group will discover signs of Puerto Rico's early Spanish culture as you cruise the narrow cobblestone streets of Old San Juan, lined with beautifully colored shops, restaurants, and galleries. Since Puerto Rico is an island surrounded by translucent Atlantic and Caribbean waters, you'll want to spend time exploring the spectacular wonderland below. Your group will head to a scuba-diving center where you will spend the next four days participating in an intensive dive-training course. Upon successful completion you will receive your official NAUI Open Water Diver SCUBA certification. Following your SCUBA training, you will head out on a two-day trek through the majestic El Yunque rainforest.

El Yunque, the highest peak in Puerto Rico, offers spectacular views of the island when you are able to break out from beneath the lush splendor of the rainforest canopy. After this unique experience, you and your group will hop a ferry headed for a small neighboring island bordered by endless beaches and swaying palm trees. Upon arriving on this pristine island, your group will spend each day experiencing an island lifestyle of snorkeling, sea kayaking, bicycle touring, and SCUBA diving. Just when you thought it couldn't get better, you will have the unique experience of sea kayaking at night through one of the last remaining bioluminescent bays, where the ocean is calm and the water sparkles like fairy dust with each paddle stroke. Join us for the island adventure you've been waiting for.

Additional Locations include: Virginia, West Virginia, North Carolina, Alaska, Panama, and Vietnam.
