Camp Description:
See what the business world is all about during our action-packed schedule. At MBV, you'll be a part of a small group of students, called a company, with a volunteer business leader who serves as your guide. You'll come up with a product idea, write a business plan and present that plan to a panel of "investors." You'll meet top business executives and hear their stories. You'll discover how to invest your money, invent and market a new product, and take part in mock interviews with real hiring specialists. And, you'll like living on campus, making new friends, and having a lot of fun. MBV will help you: - Spark your interest in starting a business - Find mentors to boost college and job applications - Strengthen your leadership skills - Gain financial skills to help manage your money - Start planning for your future - Make friends across Minnesota - Identify your personal interests and strengths - Develop teamwork skillsThis camp is held in partnership with the Minnesota Bankers Association, the G.R. Herberger College of Business at St. Cloud State University, and the Donald McNeely Center for Entrepreneurship at St. John's University. To attend MBV, students need to be in high school, currently enrolled in grades 9-12. Other Business Week programs are available in other states.
