Camp Description:
Kaleidoscope is for students who are serious about the arts. Students are allowed to select their own classes (subject to availability) and may choose to focus those classes on only one area of the arts (for example dance) or may select classes in several areas. Classes are small, allowing for a great deal of individual attention and support from the faculty and their fellow students. Programs are presented each evening with those during the second week devoted to student performances. The Kaleidoscope program is structured to allow for maximum individual attention and freedom in a small university campus setting. Students live in an air-conditioned dormitory under adult supervision by adults who are themselves involved in the arts. They eat in the university cafeteria. Kaleidoscope's previous enthusiastic students cite the quality of the teachers and the instruction, the opportunity to develop close friendships with their fellow students, and the "home away from home" atmosphere as their reasons for returning year after year.
