Camp Description:
Campers stay in rustic cabins at Camp Watanopa by beautiful Georgetown Lake nestled in the Pintlar Mountains in Western Montana. Morning varied-level instructional classes are followed by afternoon elective classes in crafts, music, African drumming and dancing, poetry, art, cultural projects, and skills. Recreation time offers sports and games, including soccer, volleyball, petanque, and French board and card games. Evenings are devoted to organized games and programs, special guests, and events such as Mardi Gras. Students enjoy French cuisine and interaction with native French speakers. Our volunteer staff consists of native French speakers, certified French teachers, and University students. We employ a certified lifeguard and professional cook. We maintain a high counselor-to-camper ratio.
