Camp Description:
Camp Oweki is located at Independence Oaks County Park in Clarkston, Michigan. Oweki means "friendship of others through friends and nature". Since 1952, Camp Oweki has been a place where friends can meet to take part in adventure, friendship, nature and exploration in an outdoor setting. About 100 campers, ages 5- 18, gather each session to participate in a variety of activities such as swimming, boating, fishing, crafts, cook-outs, teambuilding, archery and making lifelong friends. Camp Oweki has been in operation as a summer day camp since 1952. We offer children an opportunity for fun, adventure and challenge. Camp Oweki’s staff is trained to make camp safe and the very best place for children to work together and independently to develop self esteem, leadership, decision making skills and an appreciation for the world around us.
