Say
goodbye to summer camps of the past. Cybercamps, the national leader in
technology education for youth, is not your parents' summer camp.
Seattle-based Giant Campus, Inc., creator of Cybercamps, will roll out its
nationwide computer camp program at more than 50 university campuses across
the country beginning June 2007. Giant Campus will also be introducing
livewire for Summer 2007. More information about locations
and specific camp dates can be found at www.cybercamps.com and
www.livewiresummer.com.
With more than a decade of experience in teen technology, Cybercamps is the
oldest and largest nationwide summer computer camp, offering the coolest
technology courses that students could want. Boys and girls ages 7-18 create
cutting-edge projects while learning alongside friends who share their same
interests.
Cybercamps offers the broadest and most sophisticated array of computer and
technology courses available in a summer camp, organized into three progressive
tracks to suit all ability levels. Courses include game design, 3d Game
Artistry, Web Design, Digital Photography, Flash Animation, Computer
Programming, Java Scripting, Robotics, and music and video editing - just to
name a few. Students are grouped according to age level and all courses are
project-based, so kids will leave with a project that they can bring home to
show their parents and friends.
To create a well-rounded camp experience, Cybercamps offers a variety of
other activities so not all the time is spent in front of a computer.
Some of these activities include team sports, Wacky Water Wednesdays,
and robot challenges. Residential campers can also produce their own
camp movie, hang out with friends, have pizza parties, and more.
What sets Cybercamps apart from other camps of its kind?
- It's the only computer camp that met the American Camp
Association 300 standards in health, safety, and program quality at all
of its locations nationwide
- It's the first and only youth summer camp to be proven by
independent research to significantly increase the higher order thinking skills of participants
- It has a guaranteed 1:1 computer-to-student ratio
- It has the lowest student-to-staff ratio of 1:5
- It's the only program to offer an intensive Teen Leadership Program
- It has more locations than any other computer camp in the
country

livewire at the Walt Disney World(r) Resort in Florida is a chance for
teens, ages 14-18, to choose, define, and create their own experience at
one of the coolest places on Earth. Our unique, customizable schedule
provides the freedom teens want with the coolest mix of
once-in-a-lifetime access to learning how the magic of Disney is
created, and then applying that magic to their own technology-related
projects.
